At ATAA we want everyone to have a safe, exciting, fun filled school year with many new and enriching experiences. To navigate the old and the new, here are some tips!
Take time for mental wellness, meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation to destress your mind and body.
What works for you might be different than your friends, but figuring out what you need to feel well and rested is essential.
Your body needs energy for learning, exercising, relaxing, doing your homework, and everything else. Treat it well!
Connection and support is so important! There are people around you that care about you and want you to succeed. Keep those people close to you!
Understanding your own needs and respecting your own boundaries is an important step to having healthy relationships.
We all have our own blind spots and sometimes miss the ways in which our actions or words can hurt others. Working to understand these instances and working to prevent them from happening again shows strong respect for the person you are in relationship with.
When conflict or disagreements occur if you have a process or steps for how you can process the conflict or disagreement you can work through a hard situation without hurting the other person or getting hurt. These can be growth experiences.
